Hingham Elementary MACHIPS LEED Equivalent Commissioning Project

The project consisted of construction of a new 93,000sf elementary school located in Hingham, MA. The new school building for grades pre-K to 5 includes administrative offices, classrooms, auditorium / cafeteria with kitchen, gymnasium, and media center. The building is a multi-wing 2 to3 story structure constructed with a steel frame and a highly detailed masonry veneer. Exterior finishes include brick, split and ground face block with precast stone. The windows are traditional double hung and the roofing is a mixture of flat membrane, copper and shingles with a detailed cornice. Site development includes utilities, storm water management systems, septic, grading, parking, roadways, sidewalks, site improvements, play structures and multi-purpose playing fields.
